As a new entrepreneur I have all these ideas about how my brand design should come out. I believe that I have the creativity and enough artistic talent to make my own design and make my own steps in promoting my brand.
So I went ahead with my trusty computer and designed what I thought was the most beautiful logo ever made. I also made the necessary marketing strategies that I found on the Internet to launch my brand. I was so excited to see my brand really compete with the big guys after all I have the best design ever! Or so I thought.
A couple of weeks after I launched my brand, nothing came in. Still nobody knew me and my brand just sat there without even a second look by the consumers. I suddenly panicked and thought of all the time, money and effort that will go down the drain because I did things on my own. I was not an expert and I shouldn't have pretended to be one. Now I have learned my lesson. From the very beginning I should have consulted the professionals and saved myself all the headaches and tears because I failed in my brand design and in my marketing strategies as well.
I can't believe how blessed I am because of the media innovation that has been exploding in my generation. Everything that I need to know I can find on the Internet. I remember before that my parents used to invest in heavy and bulky encyclopedia volumes just for me to be able to have a reference when I'm studying. Now, I just type my questions on the Internet and countless answers are ready for me.
News agencies have their own websites as well so I don't need to buy the newspaper and waste more trees as papers are being produced. The good thing is that that i can go back and read it again and again without junk piling up in my living room- not to mention how fast the news travels because of the Internet.
Want to travel? Then go and research for your travel destination online. See what others think about your dream destination and learn from their mistakes. Know which places you should go and learn how to enjoy your trip through their experiences. I wouldn't want to have my information delivered any other way. The Internet has been the best media innovation ever and I'm sure that it is here to stay.
It is not rocket science if you think about what your brand design should be. It could mean a lot of things but in a simple definition, your brand design is who you are. Who are you and why are you here? There are two very important questions you need to ask yourself as you try to design what your brand should look like. Be wary in putting everything in a single logo, though. It may just prove to be counter productive. Instead of answering who you are why you are here, you might just muddle your customers mind because of information overload in a single logo. You don't have to put all the details in the logo, just make sure that it is catchy and appealing so that your customer would want to know more about you and try you out. Keep an air of mystery so that they will wonder about you but not too mysterious that they wouldn't even give you three seconds worth of their time. You don't know how to create a balance in these elements? Then consult and hire a professional brand agency to help you come up with your own brand design.
